COSTS, EXPLAINED

You see the estimate before treatment starts.

No one plans for an emergency. You deserve to understand the choices and the cost before you make them.

Lanternfield emergency veterinary care

First, we care for what cannot wait.

Oxygen, pain relief, and stopping bleeding happen right away and are covered by the emergency exam fee. Before anything else, the doctor explains what they found and hands you a written estimate with a low and high number.

You approve it, or choose a different plan, before treatment starts. When there is more than one reasonable option, we offer them all, including treatment at home and a peaceful goodbye when that is the kindest choice.

If costs are heading past the high number, we call you before that happens.

AFTER THE EMERGENCY

Your family vet gets the full record.

We send your pet’s exam, results, images, medications, and home-care instructions by 8:00am the next business day, usually sooner. Rechecks and stitches out happen with your family vet.
